File Income and Expense Reports
by July 1 for Rent-Restricted Projects

MAY 9, 2017 (LINCOLN, NEB.) —Legislative Bill 217 was signed into law on May 2, 2017. The provisions of section 5, dealing with rent-restricted housing projects provide that the owner of a rent-restricted housing project must file a statement electronically on a form prescribed by the Tax Commissioner on or before July 1 of each year. This form is now available on the website of the Nebraska Department of Revenue Property Assessment.

The Nebraska Department of Revenue, on behalf of the rent-restricted housing projects valuation committee, will forward these statements to the county assessor of each county in which a rent-restricted housing project is located on or before August 15 of each year.
