Changes in Local Sales and Use Tax Rates –
Effective January 1, 2019 and April 1, 2019

MARCH 1, 2019 (LINCOLN, NEB.) — Tax Commissioner Tony Fulton announced the following changes in local sales and use tax rates for the upcoming quarter starting on April 1, 2019.

Ansley, DeWitt, Laurel, and Pleasanton will each start a local sales and use tax at the rate of 1%, and Hubbard will start a local sales and use tax at the rate of 1.5%.

Dakota City will increase its local sales and use tax rate to 1%.

Clay Center, Harrison, Oakland, Osmond, and Pender all will increase their local sales and use tax rate to 1.5%.

Beatrice, Fullerton, Grand Island, Loup City, Ord, Paxton, and Sargent all will increase their local sales and use tax rate to 2%
