Local Sales and Use Tax Rates for 2nd and 3rd Quarters, 2017
MARCH 3, 2017 (LINCOLN, NEB.) — Tax Commissioner Tony Fulton announced that effective April 1, 2017, the following changes will be effective for local sales and use tax rates.
- Beaver Crossing, Edison, and Greeley will each start a local sales and use tax at the rate of 1%.
- Clarkson, Fort Calhoun, and Pilger will each start a local sales and use tax at the rate of 1.5%.
- Blue Hill, Central City, and Fairfield will each increase its local sales and use tax rate to 1.5%.
- Chappell, Crete, and Pawnee City will each increase its local sales and use tax rate to 2%.
These changes are on the Nebraska Department of Revenue’s website at revenue.nebraska.gov under the Sales and Use Tax link.
Also, there are no changes in local sales and use tax for the quarter starting on July 1, 2017.
