CHARITABLE GAMING ACTIVITY
April – June 2012

LINCOLN – Tax Commissioner Doug Ewald reported today that total dollars wagered on charitable gaming activities for April through June 2012 were $60.8 million, which is 8.02% less than the previous quarter, when $66.1 million was wagered.

CHARITABLE GAMING FISCAL YEAR (FY) ACTIVITY
July 1, 2011 – June 30, 2012

FY 2011-2012 Dollars Wagered. Total dollars wagered on charitable gaming activities for FY 2011-2012 were $247.3 million, which is 2.82% more than in FY 2010-2011 when $240.5 million was wagered.

FY 2011-2012 License and Registration Fees. License and registration fees collected from charitable gaming activities in FY 2011-2012 were $335,000 compared to $185,000 collected in FY 2010-2011. The increased collection is attributable to county, city, village, and lottery operator biennial license renewals for keno, which became due during the fiscal year.
